Where Can I Find a Residential Treatment Center for Teens That I Can Afford?

Question by Kar M: Where can I find a residential treatment center for teens that I can afford?
My son is 17; he won’t follow our rules and has said, “I don’t care what consequences there are, I’m doing what I want!” We have been consistent, we have had him in counseling, we made him go to a drug treatment center due to marijuana use (daily use for a while) Outpatient centers haven’t worked. We want him to be rescued from himself but we don’t have influence over him anymore. We also have 3 younger kids who are very stressed due to his behavior. There are a number of treatment centers that we are interested in but they are all about 5k per month! Is there a way to get financial help or a place that isn’t so expensive?

check with your local Behavioral Health or Regional Mental Health office. I worked at the local hospital’s behavioral health and we worked at helping families find long term care for the kids and family members.
