Arizona Drug Use: Immigration Law in Arizona and My Opinion

I shake my head somebody is probably laughing their heads off about now, and it’s not the illegal or the USA.

For years many Americans have complained about illegal taking away jobs, how the women keep having babies they cannot afford and how the children of illegals are destroying our schools. I remember back in the 80’s there was talk on the street how the Mexican government was pushing for the Mexicans to cross into the American side of the border. Telling their citizens to reproduce and if they want cash.. the USA will give it to you. For years we offered them free medical, Earned Income Credit, Cash Aide, free education, and a host of other American benefits generally given to legal residence of the USA. When American complained about the illegal crossing the borders; Mexico simply shrugged their shoulders and said “What borders? USA was Mexico.” Well, its not now.

When their children wave the Mexico flag in American schools, they call foul and scream discrimination. My response to that incident — You cannot straddle the fence and be an American. It takes you back to all you hear in the local paper

– Chinese Americans selling secrets to China

– Russian secret agents living in the USA

What’s worse that this picture? Someone living here illegally, and everyone know it.

No one has to spy on the illegals. Heck, some are even issued state driver license. This privilege may not be offered to other illegal races living here? This should have been a privilege given to only legal residence. Was that you New Mexico? It’s a wonder Arizona stood their ground and said enough is enough, we need action. There have been so many re-written laws to accommodate the illegal problem( specifically Mexico); you would think that the thousands living here would have had time to become legal. Latino’s needed to open their eyes and stop straddling the fence.

You are either in or not. Many Latinos living in the USA do not even speak Spanish. They carry the distinct accent, but “No Hable Espanol” I figured that out when I tried to get my Hispanic friend to translate for me. Many Latinos are so far removed from their Mexican brothers and sister south of the border, that it is surreal to me why they are fighting over here on the American side, when the problem is originating from the Mexico side. Which they ran away from; claiming they wanted a better life for their children.

They abandoned their Mexico family and in the last twenty years, I have not seen a dent in making life better. I even seen a few Latino wrinkle their noses, as if they are better than the Latinos living in Mexico. The Latinos have reproduced at an alarming rate such that it caught the eye of the US Census, advertisers, and host of other agencies looking to cash in on this event. The Latinos have even infiltrated the political arena, and they have clout.

For years we have allowed the children of illegals to receive free medical, education, and tax benefits. USA has invested millions into helping these illegals, and today some of these descendents of the illegal stand in their suits and ties sprouting discrimination, but failing to help solve the problems at the borders. While they live their “comfy” life style here in the “safe” USA, their people die in the streets from the drug cartels and poverty. Mexico is right next door. Latinos have so much to offer, but I feel they have become side tract and are forgetting where they come from.

Instead of giving back to their country what they have received from America, some have joined gangs, and became generational welfare recipient. I am double disgusted to hear that a drug lord is running for public office in Mexico. The Latinos ran away from Mexico for a better life, and what they left behind is spilling onto American soils. This is pretty easy for some people to understand.

Doesn’t matter how many degrees you get, and how your family beat the odds and made it over here if your brother and sister south of the border are dying in the street. You can pat yourself on the back, and tell stories to your kids on ” how your parents crossed the river to get into USA, and how you use to live ten people to a room,” but bottom line you caused the problem of Illegal Immigration Laws. Rather than try to help, you scream discrimination because you are really not interested in stopping the flow of illegals.

“Because there is no Borders”

Well here is my response if you take that position: So what. If a few lawyers, doctors, and businessmen get deported back; it may be good for the Mexico economy to have a few educated, self-started Latino to help clean up the mess in their country. I feel Latinos are fighting the wrong fight; the problem is on the other side. Stop busing your children across the border in Texas to attend school in the USA; stop giving illegals driver licenses in New Mexico, and stop giving state funded benefits.

Your still crying discrimination? The Latino population in USA will make up about 30% (or more) of the population due to the large birth rates and illegal already living here. If Latino’s helped the Mexico Latino’s in a gradable way, maybe they would not be so quick to cross the border into our country. Maybe, Arizona would not be forced to take an unfavorable position regarding how to handle the illegal immigration problem and the drugs flowing into our streets.
