@ kall442: Been there. It took me years to scream my way into better neighbors. It’s better now, especially after I kicked out a few hundred fence boards, causing me to get threats of legal action. I said “go ahead, PLEASE call the police. I never went to jail & all my neighbors have mostly shut their dogs up. They got tired of cuss words (against the law, but so what) and they got tired of fixing their fences. The cops were 100 percent useless,? I took care of it. I dont recommend my method.
just bought a home 3 weeks ago its like living in a dog pound. the worst dogs out of the 5000+ barkers are my next door neighbors as they hang out side with five barkers. i cant sit in my own yard i cant drive a car with out being chased i cant do shit. woken up aging 11pm i repetitiously smashed my steel security door how do you like it shut your dogs up i yelled i cant afford to run my ac 24/7 i dont make drugs? for a living why should i have to listen to your dogs why cant i open my windows

Please let me? re-state. I DO NOT know if it’s possible to stop barking dogs with ultrasonic sound. I DO NOT want to give anyone false hope. We are only hoping, talking, experimenting, asking for knowledge from others, and even looking for other answers such as advice about? laws and dealing with city governments (slow governments).
This worked wonders, I had awful neighbors who constantly played loud music. Well, atleast untill I bought 20 of these bad boys, and a? cheapo amp from goodwill. Now I just laugh while they pick at their ears, and boy are these loud. They also shut up the barking dog a block away! I have no regrets in my purchase(but I do reccomend some ear muffs).
Their amp/tone generator is audible, so not really above 20K and doesn’t work on the? dogs. Don’t waste your money.

I think inconsiderate noise by neighbours should? now be considered as a form of (psychological) assault and treated in much the same way as physical assault. Just a thought, but there’s a reason why certain military factions employ noise as a form of torture. There’s an interesting book I’ve just read on noise and the importance of quietness – A Manifesto for Silence by Stuart Sim. Not bad.
I wouldn’t be afraid of a sheriffs dep. Of all the people who should keep a good profile it should be him.? I’d report his young sherrifs dep ass to his boss pronto. Make that boy grow up an smell the reality. He’s just a paid worker (paid by your taxes).
To answer your LEGAL question about using High-Freq pest repellant.. Almost every place has a noise ordinances. However since it CAN’T be heard- it CAN’T be complained about. I would buy a Whelen Police Siren and put out a 25hkz or wherever the dog whistles run at 160db all day? long. 🙂 Perhaps a Dismantled Bullhorn or Alarm Horn.. You just can’t put a price on PEACE & QUIET!
I use these with a warbled 10kHz sine wave to repel the losers who? stand on my corner during the summer.

Very sorry to hear that. Thing is, the barking dogs are? a measurement of how irresponsible owners absolutely do not give a sh*t. Giving a sh*t is beyond their comprehension. It’s beyond their comprehension because they are MORE STUPID than the dogs. If you set up a similar mechanical device emitting random noise on the same frequency then there would be a reaction. The dog owners here are seriously lucky. If it continued I’d vault the wall and use exhibit “a” on the dogs, f*ck ’em.
You are awesome and you took charge. Most people who have noisy dogs are aggressive and people who don’t complain are passive. People should take lessons from you and fight back against sociopathic folks who have loud dogs. I’ve found that just the simple act of yelling in anger at the neighbor often helps a lot. They hate me when I do that and? they think I’M the bad guy. I now have 9 dogs bordering my yard. Sugar Land Texas sucks, it’s noise hell. Lazy government that doesn’t care about me.
I tracked down the neighbour’s landlord and succeeded in getting them evicted over the space of 4 weeks with witnessed noise and recordings. Public disturbance, antisocial behaviour, animal neglect. Had it gone on any longer I would have silenced them myself. I used to like dogs but not? any more.
Playing the tone from CD is ok as? long as you don’t go higher than the playback frequency of a CD. CD’s will only work up to 22,000 cycles per second. This is well known to audio technicians. So, 20 thousand is a good frequency for a CD player. Using a CD player would be good because it can be programmed to cycle constantly.
Get some free? tone frequency software online. Record your tone on a CD play it one your CD player with your canon piezo tweeters. Fast easy inexpensive and very effective. Let me know how you go.

Say Spaceman, did you ever get that Kennel Silencer? Did it have any effect? I read on another site that a sufferer aimed some bark-activated loud noise back at his neighbor, and when the cops were called out, all they said to the dog owner was “keep? the dog quiet and you won’t have a problem”. Too bad all cops aren’t that helpful.
