Question by Maria: Fostering a drug-addicted newborn?
I may be bringing home a baby born addicted to heroin, cocaine, and vicodin. Has anyone done this before and what was it like? Are there symptoms left if the child has been in the hospital for at least 4 weeks? Do the symptoms ever go away? Any thoughts or suggestions on how to care for him would be greatly appreciated.

these babies cry A LOT!!! they just need lots of extra love and attention, and need to be held a lot too. most of the symptoms should be gone after 4 weeks but every baby is different. make sure you have a lot of patience and support.
